API Rate Limits

To ensure fair and equitable access for all API users, requests to the API are rate limited based on the type of API key used. Rate limits help maintain the stability and performance of the system.

If a rate limit is reached, further requests will return an HTTP 429 Too Many Requests response code until the rate limit period resets.

All users must abide by the rate limits to maintain a quality experience for all.

Paid API Keys

Paid API keys have higher rate limits:

• 600 requests per 15 minutes per API key
• Daily limits based on the purchased volume

Free API Keys

• 25 requests per 15 minutes per IP address
• 50 requests per day per domain

Caution

Starting 01/01/2025, the limit for Free API Keys will be reduced to 50 requests per day. Until then, the limit remains 200 requests per day. Users needing higher request volumes are encouraged to upgrade to a paid plan.
