API Rate Limits

To ensure fair and equitable access for all API users, requests to the API are rate limited based on the type of API key used. Rate limits help maintain the stability and performance of the system.

If a rate limit is reached, further requests will return an HTTP 429 Too Many Requests response code until the rate limit period resets.

All users must abide by the rate limits to maintain a quality experience for all.

Free API Keys

  • 50 requests per 15 minutes per IP address
  • 200 requests per day per domain

Paid API keys have higher rate limits:

  • 600 requests per 15 minutes per API key
  • Monthly request limits are based on the paid plan
